About a year or so ago, I started seeing multiple Instagram influencers talking about YU Trim Fit and how it was helping them to lose weight and get leaner. Anytime I see a new, “trendy” product come along, especially in the fitness and wellness space, my interest is piqued.
As a personal trainer, macro coach, and realist, I am well aware that there are no quick fixes, special pills, or magic elixirs for weight loss (although semaglutide might be considered, that’s for another post). So my initial instinct when I see products such as Trim Fit is that it’s complete BS, but since everyone seems to be trying it, I like to get my hands on it, too, so I can evaluate.
Turns out, YU has several products in addition to its famed Trim Fit, so I ordered one of each of them, tried them all, and am here to share my thoughts, feedback, review, and recommendations with you. Are you considering buying BeautifulYU Products? I hope this article helps!
Rating YU Beauty
I rated BeautifulYU with a critical eye as I did not experience the benefits of its most popular product. I did, however, find that some of their other products were very well thought out and provided some great benefits. Not every person will experience the same effects with varying products, which leads me to believe that the reviews on the brand’s website might be legit and valid, despite my not experiencing the same thing. The one red mark on the brand that I found was that there’s no mention of any kind of 3rd party testing and the brand isn’t super transparent with their ingredient labels.

Brand
BeautifulYU offers a lineup of specialty health, beauty, and wellness supplements designed to enhance the user’s quality of life. YU became internet and influencer famous for its Trim Fit product, however, they have since launched multiple additional products across many facets of health. YU offers many of its products in single-serve packets or multi-serving tubs for convenience. The brand has thousands of positive reviews and feedback on its products via the brand’s official website. Yu products are made in the US which I really value.
Quality Testing
Unfortunately, I did not find any mention of 3rd party testing for contaminants, heavy metals, and ingredient integrity when researching YU’s products. This could potentially be a red flag for buyers who value honesty and transparency in their supplements. That being said, the FDA does not require such testing for supplements, so BeautifulYU is well within their rights.
Ingredients
While the products are not 3rd party tested, YU does claim to include some very specific, rare ingredients in some of their formulations. For example, their most popular product, Trim Fit, includes two key ingredients that I have not seen elsewhere. YU claims that its products are free from artificial colors and flavors. Some products have a “blend” of ingredients which can be suspect to those who prefer 100% transparency.
Effectiveness
Looking across the whole product line, several YU products are effective in their claims, however, I personally found their most popular product to be not as effective as they claim, which unfortunately brings down my overall rating of the products. That being said, there are thousands of 5-star reviews from supposedly real customers who rave about the products and their effectiveness.
Value
BeautifulYU products are boutique, they certainly do not fall under the category of “budget.” Compared to similar products on the market, they are amongst the upper echelons of pricing. That being said, YU products are unique in some ways that deliver a higher value than other budget brands. Those who use and love YU products, will find value in the results they experience.
Why I Decided to Try All BeautifulYU Products
Initially, I wanted to try YU Trim Fit because I was seeing it everywhere on Instagram. Influencers of all sizes were touting the benefits they were getting from drinking Trim Fit daily as well as their weight loss results. Naturally, I was intrigued.
I did a quick review of the brand’s website, ingredients list, and summary of what users can expect and pulled the trigger. While I was at it, I figured I might as well purchase all their other products to try them, too (yes, it was pricey!).
When trying a brand for the first time, I like to sample all of its products, or at least a couple, if I can so that I can get a clear picture of the brand as a whole. Obviously, I then like to share my experience with you. My hope is that I might be able to save you some money in the future.

First Impressions
As soon as I placed my order, I got a confirmation email, which is pretty standard. What was impressive though for a direct-to-consumer brand was that they shipped my order very quickly, which I always love to see.
I received my package within a few days of ordering and immediately began taste testing all the products, here are my first impressions by product.
Yu Trim Fit

I was most excited to try this product as its the one that brought me to the brand in the first place. YU claims that the ingredients in Trim Fit help to burn fat, control appetite, and increase your energy.
I mixed a scoop of the purple Trim Fit powder with water and gave it a try. First impression; it tastes really good! There were some flecks of ingredients in the drink that didn’t fully mix in, which I assume is the purple tea leaves.
According to YU, the key ingredients in this product are Kenyan Purple Tea which is supposed to help the body break down fats, decrease fat mass, and increase lean body mass. The second key ingredient is Indian Caralluma Fimbriata which is an edible cactus from India that has apparently been used for thousands of years as an appetite suppressant.
I drank TrimFit diligently for 30 days and the main thing that I noticed was that I had more energy, which is likely due to the 130 mg of caffeine per serving. I didn’t experience any weight loss or fat loss during this time that could be attributed to the drink specifically, but I was also not in a calorie deficit, which is the real driver of fat loss.

Had I been in a calorie deficit and drinking Trim Fit, I would have lost weight. But does Trim Fit work like some magic drink to drop body fat? No, you would need to pair it with a calorie deficit and exercise program. Although, I would imagine that TrimFit could produce a pretty good placebo effect for some people. Those drinking it might feel as though their appetite is suppressed and end up eating less which can result in weight loss.
Overall, I think this product tastes really good and I don’t see any harm in trying it, although I am a bit skeptical about the claims the brand makes. Although there are plenty of 5-star reviews out there from users who claim they’ve lost weight with it. This is one of those products that you would need to try for yourself!

YU Protect Probiotics

This product I was really excited to try because it’s a probiotic that comes in powder form. It’s basically a pixie stick (remember those?) with a sweet, yet healthy supplement inside. This product is marketed to help provide you with immune support, improved digestion, and heart health.
I ripped open the top and poured the sweet, peachy powder onto my tongue. It dissolved quickly and was really fun to take. The taste is great!

As far as ingredients go, Yu includes a “Probiotic Blend,” they don’t disclose what probiotic strains they use and why, which is a bit iffy in the supplement world, but I wasn’t overly concerned. There are no artificial colors or flavors, but it does contain sugar alcohols for sweeteners.
One thing that I found interesting was that Yu Protect Probiotics are formulated for adults and kids 4+. I have not given this product to my kids as they take Hiya probiotics, but I bet kids would like the powdered delivery. You could even mix it into a liquid and drink it!
Yu Optimized Collagen Peptides
Next up, I tried the Optimized Collagen Peptides. I am a big believer in taking a collagen supplement daily and my normal go-to is 1st Phorm Collagen in my morning coffee. But for the sake of this review, I went ahead and gave Yu’s collagen supplement a try.
My first thought, again, was that it tasted really good. This product comes in a sweet citrus flavor so it wouldn’t be something to put in my coffee like I do with my normal collagen supplement. A lot of people actually make a little cocktail with their Trim Fit and collagen together, which I tried and it definitely tastes great.
This product is designed to help improve your hair, skin, and nails with two different types of collagen present. One important thing to note is that Yu also includes a bunch of vitamins in their formula, so if you’re already taking a multivitamin, you might want to double-check that you’re not over-supplementing.
Other Yu Products
There are a handful of other products from Yu that I tried, but probably would not personally order again as I don’t love them and/or don’t see the value. I will run through them briefly:
Yu Total Hormone Balance

This comes in a single-serve liquid packet and is designed to combat common female hormone issues. The taste is similar to a strong, but not overly sweet juice. I only tested the taste of this product as I already deal with hormone imbalance and don’t tend to do well with supplements aimed at correcting it. I focus on my diet and exercise program to keep my hormones in check.
Yu Enhanced Bioactive Turmeric

This product was designed to help support your immune system, promote calm and well-being, and aid in digestion. I love the idea of this product, but had a hard time getting past the spicy taste! My husband, on the other hand, really likes this one!
Yu Performance Reds

Performance Reds is nitric oxide which helps to widen blood vessels for increased blood flow which in turn can help improve cardiovascular health. The flavor of this product is Beets and Berries, and I have to say, it definitely tastes more like beets than berries! If you don’t mind the earthy taste, I really like this product.
Are BeautifulYu Products Worth It?
Potentially! I think Yu offers a nice line of boutique health and wellness supplements, most of which are pretty unique. Unfortunately, I can’t speak really highly of long-term results as I really didn’t take any of their supplements long enough to gather a lot of data and feedback.
Do I think these products could enhance your life? Yes. Do I think they are the best products on the market? No, simply because they don’t disclose the ingredients fully and don’t appear to do any third-party testing. That being said, they do a great job of making their supplements delicious and fun to take. I also really like that Yu products are made in the US!
For those who like experimenting with different supplements, you might find that giving BeautifulYu a try is well worth it.

Wrapping Up
Although I was a little skeptical before trying Yu, I do think that their products are overall pretty solid. Yu TrimFit is the only product that I think makes claims that might be a little out there, but I know firsthand that everyone’s experience with different products and supplements varies, so it’s important to be your own judge.
My favorite product to date is Yu’s Protect Probiotic. I really enjoy the flavor and the fact that it’s a fun pixie stick to deposit on my tongue. I also really like the Optimized Collagen Peptides!
Will you try Yu products? If you do, do me (and the rest of our readers!) a favor and come back and let us know what you like and don’t like about the products!
