Calocurb GLP-1 Activator: Does It Work?

I heard about Calocurb, a GLP-1 activator, on a very reputable podcast I listen to, and decided to try it for myself. Did it work?

I feel like we hear about new “natural” GLP-1 activator supplements every day now, and it makes sense - supplement companies are trying to cash in on the mega business that is GLP-1s. Unfortunately, most of these supplements are ineffective and nothing more than a waste of money. 

However, I may have come across a diamond in the rough. I was listening to one of my favorite health and wellness podcasts for women over 35, the Dr. Tyna Show, and she did a full episode on Calocurb, a natural GLP-1 activator.

If you’re not familiar with Dr. Tyna Moore, she’s a massive advocate for GLP-1s, so the fact that she was featuring a natural supplement felt pretty big to me. I know she wouldn’t just put her name on any supplement unless she had proof that it worked. 

Long story short, I listened to the full podcast between Dr. Tyna and the founder of Calocurb, Sarah Kennedy, and was fully convinced that this product is legitimate. I ordered a bottle for myself and put it to the test. Here’s what happened!

How Does Calocurb Work?

Calocurb is “pre-meal appetite management,” which means that it helps you feel full faster. You take a capsule about an hour before eating a meal, and Calocurb gets released into your small intestine, which then stimulates the release of “feel-full” intestinal hormones (GLP-1, CCK, and PYY) from specialized cells. This all sounds very scientific, but listening to the founder talking about it on the podcast made a lot of sense.

Calocurb is made from Amarasate extract, which is a New Zealand hop flower Extract. Fun fact: The research done to find the hop that produced the effects was fully funded by the New Zealand government.

The clinical trials of Calocurb found that there was a 30% reduction in hunger in an hour, a 40% reduction in cravings in an hour, and an 18% reduction in calorie consumption. Although 18% might feel small and insignificant, it’s not - it adds up! For comparison, GLP-1s are shown to cause a 24% decrease in calorie consumption, so Calocurb is not far off!

The science of Calocurb and a GLP-1 medication are similar - both of these options send a signal to the brain that the stomach is already partially full. This allows you to still enjoy your meals, but eat them in a smaller quantity without feeling deprived. The reduction in overall calorie intake is what produces the weight loss you may experience. It’s really simple: you eat less, therefore you lose weight. Calocurb isn’t a magic fat-burning pill, it’s an appetite management tool. 

My Experience With Calocurb

Alright, with all the technicalities out of the way, let’s get into what you’re really here for. You probably want to know if Calocurb actually works before you spend money on it.

First, when I placed my order, it came really quickly, which I loved. I read the directions, and it states I should take one capsule one hour before a meal on days 1-2. Then, days 3-4, take one capsule twice per day, one hour before meals. Finally, on days 5+, I should take two capsules twice daily, one hour before meals. I assume this schedule is so your body can get used to it and can build up safely.

I followed the instructions and took one capsule on days 1-2 before lunch. To be honest, I didn’t notice any difference at all on these days. By the end of day 4, when I was taking two capsules per day, I started to feel an increase in satiety while eating. I noticed that I got really full pretty quickly while eating dinner, where I would usually easily be able to eat my full plate of food.

The full feeling wasn’t a negative feeling in any way, I didn’t feel sick or turned off food, just full like I normally would feel, but with less food. By the 5th-6th days, I was taking 2 capsules before lunch and dinner and was definitely feeling less hungry. It wasn’t dramatic, and if I weren’t paying attention, I might not have noticed it. I also noticed that I wasn’t feeling a strong craving for sweets immediately after my meal, like I normally would.

As far as side effects go, there were a couple of days when I felt a little bloated and constipated. I can’t say for sure if it was due to the Calocurb or if it was the new creatine gummies I was testing out. Regardless, the discomfort didn’t last long. I upped my fiber intake to make sure things were moving, and I felt totally fine within a couple of days.

I didn’t start Calocurb with the intention to take it long-term for weight loss. I started it with the intention of trying it out out of genuine curiosity and so that I could report back to you (my readers) and to my clients who are always looking for supplements that actually work. All that to say, I don’t have a big weight loss transformation to share with you. What I can provide you with is my testimonial that it definitely helped me feel fuller faster, and that if taken regularly and for a long period of time, weight loss would likely be inevitable because I would be eating fewer calories.

Do I Recommend Calocurb?

First and foremost, we know we need to be eating a healthy, balanced diet and include movement into our days, right? Right. For those who are struggling with overeating, inability to lose weight, hormonal fluctuations that cause excessive hunger and weight gain, etc., I do think Calocurb is a great, natural option for controlling your appetite.

Does Calocurb work as effectively as a GLP-1 shot? No, it’s not as dramatic, but it also doesn’t cause the slew of negative side effects like nausea that many people experience while taking a GLP-1. I think investing in Calocurb might be a great investment for those who struggle with stopping eating when they’re full and for overall portion control. If overeating is the cause of your weight gain (hint: it usually is), then an all-natural supplement like Calocurb might be a good product to try.

I am not usually a fan of gimmicky products, and I rarely trust that they will actually work, but Calocurb isn’t a gimmick. I did experience fullness quicker while taking it, which is exactly what it said it would do.
