I’ve been using Clean Simple Eats products for years now and have thoroughly enjoyed the vast majority of them. My clients know that I’m not a big everyday supplement taker, but there are a handful of supplements that I feel all women should be using daily. Collagen is one of them.
I take a scoop of collagen every single day for my hair, skin, nails, and joint health, and Clean Simple Eats offers one of my favorite collagen powders.
Clean Simple Eats recently re-launched their collagen powders with a new formulation and in conjunction with some new flavors, so I decided to come on here and write up a review of my experience with CSE collagen so you can decide if it’s a good fit for you.
My Experience With Clean Simple Eats Collagen

I first tried Clean Simple Eats Collagen back in 2021. I had already become a fan of their protein powder and wanted to try some of their other products. I started by getting their sample pack, which gives you several flavors in individual-size packets so I could try them out.
They had a handful of sweet flavors, and all of them tasted really good. My favorite flavor was the Blackberry Lemonade! The powder is really easy to mix, I just use a shaker bottle to mix it up and then pour it over ice. I see a lot of people using a handheld frother to mix their collagen (Clean Simple Eats staff included), but I’m never able to get the powder to fully mix like that - I need to give it a good old-fashioned shake.

The only flavor that I didn’t like was the Sour Watermelon, and it appears I’m not alone on that as there are quite a few negative reviews of that flavor in particular. It must have something to do with the sweetener they use because it really has a strange aftertaste.
Recently, Clean Simple Eats launched its upgraded Collagen + Beauty Blend along with new flavors. These new flavors and the new blend are even better than the original.
Let’s chat about the new Collagen + Beauty Blend.
Collagen + Beauty Blend (New Formula)

I didn’t compare the old formula to the new one, but according to Clean Simple Eats, “this is the upgraded version of our best-selling Collagen + Beauty Blend, packed with benefits you’re sure to notice. Our formula includes Hyaluronic acid, organic bamboo silica, and rice ceramides, helping you glow from the inside out while supporting joint health.”
With the launch of this new and improved formula, which places additional emphasis on the beauty side of things, they launched several new flavors:
- Strawberry Colada
- Cherry Ice
- Ruby Red Raspberry
- Chocolate Silk
- Vanilla Cream

I am so excited about the chocolate and vanilla flavors as I love to put collagen in my coffee, and up until now, CSE has only offered fruity flavored collagen that doesn’t go with coffee. Now, I can enjoy my coffee + collagen combo using CSE collagen, which is truly one of my favorite options.
All of the new flavors are honestly delicious and better than any of the old flavors, in my opinion. I also really love that they added some additional ingredients for skincare and beauty because I’ll take all the help I can get with my fine lines and wrinkles, as well as the look and feel of my skin as I age.
Nutrition Information
From a nutritional standpoint, Clean Simple Eats Collagen doesn’t miss the mark on anything. It contains 50 calories per scoop and has 11g of collagen per serving. The collagen is from grass-fed cattle and contains no artificial ingredients. Plus, it’s 3rd party tested, which is a biggie for me when it comes to supplements.
I also love that there are different types of collagen in this blend as it offers a diverse amino acid profile, which is helpful in triggering new collagen production. The more collagen we have, the stronger our joints. Clean Simple Eats also added ingredients like Bamboo Silica and hyaluronic acid to help with natural youthfulness and radiance. This is a product I highly recommend (or something similar to all women!).
How/When I Use CSE Collagen
To be honest, before they launched their chocolate and vanilla flavors, I wasn’t using CSE Collagen as much because I love making collagen coffee, and the sweet flavors just didn’t work. That said, now that I can add the vanilla collagen to my coffee, I’m using it daily with my morning coffee.
Sometimes, I like to mix up an afternoon glass using the fruity flavors (usually Cherry Ice or Ruby Red Raspberry), and I’ll use it as something fun to sip on to break up my normal water intake. It’s delicious and a fun and easy way to beef up my day with extra protein and collagen.
Final Thoughts
To wrap this up, I enjoyed Clean Simple Eats’ collagen before, but with the new formulation and flavors, I like it even better. One of my favorite parts about ordering my collagen powder from Clean Simple Eats is that their protein powder is my hands-down favorite, so it’s awesome to be able to purchase multiple supplements from one place.
I always notice a decline in the state of my hair, skin, and nails when I don’t take collagen regularly, so I’m super excited to have one that I truly enjoy and feel good about taking, as it really does make a difference in my body and health.
Have you tried CSE Collagen yet? If not, this is your sign to go for it! Then come back and let me know what flavor you picked and what you think.
