My kids, like most kids, love gummies but hate most veggies. As a parent who’s always striving for the healthiest version of myself and my family, it can be exhausting trying to get my kids to eat a balanced diet that’s packed with the nutrition they need.
Recently, I kept seeing an ad on Instagram for Gruns Gummies for kids, and I thought, what the heck, let’s give these a try! Fun fact, as I was checking out, I realized they made an adult’s version, too, so I purchased both. You can read Alex’s full review of the adult Gruns Gummies here.
For this review, we consulted the pickiest people in our family; our brutally honest kids (ages 6 and 8), here’s our review.
Why I Purchased Gruns for My Kids

The big yellow bag contains all the individual "snack packs" which are premade by serving size (6 gummies)
I kept seeing ads for Gruns on my Instagram feed and was also seeing a couple of my favorite influencers sharing them, so I decided why not? I myself don’t like the taste of greens powders at all, and believe me when I tell you, I’ve tried dozens of different ones and none of them do it for me. I know everyone in my family could use a little more greens in our diets, and if we could get them via tasty gummies, all the better.
One thing that gave me pause when ordering Gruns Kid’s Greens Gummies was that they also contain vitamins and minerals. We’re loyal Hiya users, so I knew there was a chance that I’d have to make a decision on which kid’s vitamin supplement we’d have to keep.
Finally, I made this purchase because I am always curious about whether or not the popular products I see all over social media are actually good or if the brands are just paying influencers a lot of money to talk about. I like to do the testing myself.
First Impressions
After ordering, our Grun’s Kid’s Greens came pretty quickly! My first thought was that I loved how they were packaged individually - not only does that make it easy to pass them out to my kids, but it also gives them the vibe of a regular pack of candy gummies or fruit snacks, which my kids are always attracted to.

Before I let my kids try them, I tried them myself. I ordered the low-sugar variety as I felt like the sugar-free might be too bland for my kids to actually enjoy them. Plus, I’m personally ok with my kids eating a little bit of sugar, especially when they’re doing it alongside a bunch of other healthy ingredients (I call this balance!).
My first impression was that they tasted really good - zero percent like greens, which is the taste that I so want to avoid. When it comes to gummies, texture is also a big deal. No one wants to gnaw through a hard, sticky gummy! Gruns Kid’s are soft and chewy but not overly hard - I was impressed.

The gummies are shaped like gummy bears. Both of my kids really like the taste and texture. And, 6 gummies is one serving size, which come in a "snack pack."
With mom’s seal of approval, I went ahead and gave each of my kids a pack of Gruns to try. They were both excited to try them. Both of my kids ate their whole packs of gummies and enjoyed them! Did they enjoy them as much as a regular pack of gummy bears, no, of course not, but they didn’t complain so that’s a win.
Adding to Our Daily Routine
Considering I purchased two bags of Gruns Kid’s Greens (one for each kiddo), and my kids enjoyed them, I decided to have my kids pause their daily Hiya vitamins for the month and take the Gruns instead.
The pros; my kids liked the novelty of the gummy bears, they enjoyed them like a treat, and my kids were getting daily greens.
The cons; I’m not convinced that this product is better than their usual kid’s multivitamins and worried that they weren’t getting the nutrients they had become accustomed to.

This is the back of the gruns kids super greens gummies package, where it shows the key ingredients and supplement facts.
Alex and I took our Gruns Gummies alongside the kids for the month, and to be honest, we looked forward to them, too!
Will We Keep Taking Gruns?
As we approach the end of our 30-day supply of Grun Gummies, the question is; will we keep up with them? I’m still not fully decided on this. There are so many aspects to Gruns that I love and appreciate, but there’s also the side of me questioning if my kids need a greens supplement. In full transparency, I also just purchased Hiya’s new Greens powder for kids to try.
As of right now, we are going to spend the next month trying Hiya’s Greens and then we’ll decide which one we want to stick with, if any.
Update: Check out our article on gruns kids vs hiya greens as both of my kids tried each.
Who Should Try Gruns for Kids?
If you’re a parent who's looking to help their kids’ get more nutrients into their daily routine, Gruns might help. If you struggle with getting your child to eat their vegetables and take their vitamins, Gruns gummies are a fresh way to sneak nutrients into their diet.
I also find Gruns to be well suited for families who wish to optimize their monthly budget by taking a comprehensive product that includes the nutrients from a kid’s multivitamin, probiotics, greens, and more all at the same time. If you were to price out what each of these products would cost individually, Gruns comes out as a budget-friendly option.
Lastly, for families who want easy, on-the-go supplements for their kids that don’t feel like supplements, Grun's gummy bears are a fun option that will feel more like a treat than a “healthy” vitamin.
Wrapping Up
Overall, I am very impressed with Gruns. My expectations weren’t very high after trying many gimmicky products that didn’t work, didn’t taste good, or felt like a total waste of money. I love that Gruns is such a comprehensive product, eliminating the need for a bunch of different daily supplements. I also really appreciate that the greens gummies don’t taste like greens, more like a regular gummy kids (and adults!) actually enjoy and look forward to eating.
For my family, the jury is still out on whether or not we will keep a monthly subscription as I really want to check out Hiya’s Kids Greens Powder that’s supposed to taste like chocolate milk.
Rating Gruns Kids
Gruns Kid’s Greens Gummies offers a unique way for parents to encourage their children to increase their nutrient intake without feeling like it’s a chore. Kids enjoy grabbing their daily packet of gummies and munching on them the way they would any other gummy or fruit snack packet. These gummies taste great, come in low-sugar or sugar-free options, and feel affordable when compared to alternatives.
Brand: 4.6/5
Gruns is a newer brand, just starting out in 2023, but it’s quickly risen to the top of supplement lists thanks to its innovative products. As of the time of this review, Gruns has just two products; Gruns Adults and Gruns Kids. Gruns has over 28,000 reviews with an average rating of 4.8/5, which is very impressive.
Quality and Testing: 4.8/5
Gruns does 3rd party testing on all of its products, which is the mark of premium supplement brand. The FDA does not require 3rd party testing, so for a brand to go out of its way to have the additional testing done, it says a lot about the brand and its desire to provide quality, legitimate products.
Ingredients: 4.5/5
Gruns Kids Gummies have 60+ whole food ingredients, including 21 essential vitamins and minerals. The ingredients in these gummies include whole veggies, whole fruits, adaptogens, prebiotics, super mushrooms, antioxidants, prebiotics, and vitamins & minerals.
Effectiveness: 4.7/5
Gruns Kid’s Greens Gummies are effective for helping kids get their daily servings of veggies, vitamins, and minerals. With the gummy delivery, kids are far more likely to consume their daily nutrients vs eating actual greens or drinking a greens powder.
Value: 4.5/5
At $39.99 for a 30-day supply, Gruns Kid’s Gummies are a reasonable option for families who wish to increase their kid’s nutrient intake. The value of Gruns is that it combines multivitamins and greens for a comprehensive supplement that eliminates the need for parents to purchase multiple supplements for their kids.
