I can’t scroll Instagram these days without seeing an influencer talking about their “all-natural” peptides that are helping them and their clients reach their goals. If you’ve heard a lot of this, too, then you might have been intrigued, gotten their link, and realized that they are selling products from Make Wellness, a fairly new supplement brand.

Make Wellness is an MLM (multi-level marketing), which means the company sells its products via independent distributors who make a commission off the sales as well as via the sales of other people whom they recruit. MLMs leave a bad taste in the mouth for many, but not all of them are “scams.” Nearly every company in the world has an affiliate or referral program, the only difference is that not all of them encourage you to recruit other affiliates and pay you out on those efforts.

I have seen and heard a lot about Make Wellness products and decided to go ahead and purchase them for myself so I could take a closer, hands-on look. To be honest, the cost for the products is pretty high, so instead of buying them all, or even just a recommended trio of them, I only bought the Lean product, as this seems to be the best seller.

In this article, I’ll be mostly focusing on Lean as that’s the product that I personally own, however, I will also talk about the brand as a whole with the goal of helping those interested in purchasing Make products feel like they’re making an informed decision.

First, What Are Peptides?

Before we can talk about Make Wellness’ products, I want to mention what peptides are, as they have become a hot topic in the health and wellness space lately.

Without getting too much into the scientific stuff (because I’m not a doctor or scientist), peptides are short chains of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. Peptides are naturally found in our bodies and play key roles in everything from hormone regulation and muscle growth to skin health and metabolism.

Within the wellness and weight loss space, we’re seeing peptides being promoted for everything from supporting fat loss to boosting muscle growth.

It’s important to note that there are both naturally occurring peptides and synthetic ones. An example of a natural peptide is collagen, which we use for hair, skin, and joints. Then there are synthetic peptides like GLP-1s that are used for weight loss. Make Wellness peptides are being sold as an all-natural peptide alternative to synthetic peptides like semaglutide.

Make Wellness Lean: What Is It?

Lean from Make Wellness is marketed as a weight management solution that’s designed to help decrease cravings while enhancing metabolic health. The main ingredient in Lean is “Apticurb Trimfast Complex,” which sounds promising, but I also had no idea what it meant or what it was comprised of.

I went to Google to search for the first ingredient in the formula, which is Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Peptide Hydrolysate, which apparently comes from brewer’s yeast, which is the same yeast that’s used to make beer and bread.

The peptides are the proteins from the yeast that are broken down into smaller pieces, which makes them easier for the body to absorb. Once absorbed, these peptides provide some potential benefits such as influencing your metabolism, decreasing inflammation, and helping with your gut health. Keep in mind that human studies on this are extremely limited.

Make claims that Lean has an advanced formula that signals your body naturally to support healthy weight loss, metabolic wellness, decreased cravings, calorie burn, and body composition. It’s all very compelling. Make does mention that this product should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program, aka it’s not a magic pill that requires zero effort on your end.

My Experience With Lean From Make Wellness

I ordered Lean using my own money. The product shipped and arrived pretty quickly. While many of Make’s products are powdered and come in single-serve packets, Lean is a capsule. You get 60 capsules, which equate to a 30-day supply for $89.99. Make offers a subscription option which saves you 10% off your order and gives you free shipping on orders over $100.

The directions say to take 2 capsules per day with 8 oz. of water, before your first meal. The capsules are of average size and pretty easy to take with water. I have only been trying Lean for about a week now, and I haven’t really noticed any changes at all, positive or negative. As with most supplements, you need to give them time in order to see if they’re actually going to work or produce any kind of positive effects.

I am paying close attention to my hunger cues and cravings, as this is something that I have struggled with due to hormonal imbalances and my PCOS. I tend to get ravenously hungry, which can lead me to over-eating. I feel like my appetite has been stable thus far, but I can’t say with any kind of certainty that it’s due to the Lean peptides.

Make Wellness makes it really easy to sign up as an affiliate for their brand, so you can promote their products. I signed up so that I could share my experience here with you, but also so that I could get some behind-the-scenes access to the company, its mission, and its marketing. Based on my experience thus far, Make is very committed to the products and to helping its affiliates promote them in a way that feels natural.

My Overall Thoughts On Lean

The big question is whether or not this product actually works, right? Although it’s on the pricier side, it’s also a lot cheaper than going the GLP-1 route, so I think a lot of us are hoping it does work. Plus, all the influencers who are promoting this product are pitting it against GLP-1s, stating this is a natural alternative.

I hate to break it to you, but there’s no chance the Lean capsules can compete with an injectable GLP-1 when it comes to appetite suppression and weight loss. It’s just not realistic. That being said, does Lean help reduce hunger and cravings and naturally support your metabolism? Maybe! I’m not saying it won’t produce any benefits, but I also don’t want to mislead anyone into thinking that they’d get similar results using Lean as they would on a GLP-1 medication.

I think Make Wellness is making a big push for its products and that the team behind it fully believes in them and their mission, which is wholesome and encouraging. They recommend taking multiple peptides at once for maximum benefits and results. I didn’t order multiple products, just the one, so I don’t have any personal experience with that.

I would like to see more real user reviews and testimonials from using products like Lean, but since the company is newer, I am not really finding a lot. Several influencers that I follow have shared before-and-afters of people who are using Make’s products and seeing great results, but it’s unclear if those are their actual clients or if those are images coming from Make.

I do think peptides are the future, and I sure hope that we’re able to get access to some that produce amazing results for our health and longevity. Will they be from Make Wellness? Maybe! I think the company has great intentions. It’s growing rapidly, and I honestly can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

Where do you stand with Make Wellness? Intrigued? Will you order and give it a try? Leave me a comment with your thoughts, I’d love to hear your feedback.
