Remedy Meds has taken things to a whole new level with their marketing, which is probably the main reason you’re reading this review. Did you see a Remedy Meds ad too?

I’ve been covering GLP-1 providers since they first came out with the likes of Found, Calibrate, Form Health and Fella Health. Those were the OGs, but since then, it’s safe to say there are thousands of providers now.

And one that keeps popping up on my social feeds and on google, is Remedy Meds.

So I decided if it would be possible to reach out to the Remedy Meds team and ask them a few questions.

I’ve done this many times with other brands, but usually I don’t get a response.

Not this time, as Remedy Meds was actually really happy to answer my questions - that’s a breath of fresh air, plus it gives me hope that there are actually companies out there that provide a human response.

No, I haven’t taken a compounded GLP-1, however, Tami has, and she went through a similar GLP-1 provider like Remedy Meds. She mainly used the compounded medication to gain insights to help others, as well as drop a few pounds.

So this review is not only unique in a way where we (at A Couple Consumers) have gone through a similar process like Remedy Meds, but we’ll hear from the Remedy Meds team themselves on some of our most pressing questions as consumers.

Remedy Meds at a Glance

First and foremost, Remedy Meds is an online telemedicine platform that offers compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide through their highly regulated, US-based partnered compounding pharmacies.

What does “compounded” mean?

Compounded just means the medication is custom-made by a pharmacy instead of coming straight from a big drug company. Remedy Meds’ compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide have the same active ingredients as Ozempic® and Mounjaro®, but they’re made in U.S. pharmacies to keep them more accessible.

So, if you qualify through Remedy Meds, which I’ll explain here in a bit, you can get compounded GLP-1 medications delivered to your door very quickly.

Before you start clicking ‘buy now,’ let’s go over the details that actually matter - because if you’re putting something in your body, you should know exactly what you’re getting.

What Helps Remedy Meds Stand Out From Other GLP-1 Providers?

When you’re choosing a GLP-1 provider, you’re going to want to know what makes that company better than the others. More importantly, do they fit your needs?

“RemedyMeds offers a streamlined, all-in-one service for patients seeking compounded GLP-1 medications for weight loss” a member of the Remedy Meds team told me.

He went on to tell me that their platform provides the following:

  • Comprehensive telehealth services: Patients receive unlimited consultations and ongoing support from a licensed clinician network credentialed in their state.
  • Personalized treatment plans: Individualized dosing recommendations based on medical evaluations.
  • Direct-to-door delivery: Patients receive their medication conveniently from US-based compounding pharmacies. There are no shipping costs.
  • Flat-rate pricing: No hidden costs or unexpected price increases based on dosage changes.

We’ll talk more about pricing later, but that last point is a major perk, considering that many other GLP-1 providers increase their pricing as dosing increases.

When drug shortages occur, Remedy Meds has systems in place. “Unlike traditional GLP-1 providers, we ensure access to treatment even during national drug shortages, thanks to our partnerships with compounding pharmacies.”

From my experience covering GLP-1 providers, many of them fail to deliver the medications during drug shortages, leaving customers without medication for weeks, sometimes a month or more.

So, the fact that Remedy Meds has those systems in place, it can really bring peace of mind when signing up for their services.

Challenges Remedy Meds’ Patience Face, And How Remedy Meds Helps

I wanted to include challenges patients face in this article because it’s inevitable for many people who take a GLP-1, especially for the first time. I was very surprised that the Remedy Meds team answered this question, as most brands shy away from it.

And, Remedy Meds has serviced over 60,000 patients, which is a very large sample size, especially compared to other brands that offer the same services.

According to the Remedy Meds team, the most common challenges that their patients take on include:

  • Managing side effects: Nausea, fatigue, or digestive issues can occur.
  • Maintaining consistency: Sticking to a weekly injection schedule.
  • Adjusting to appetite changes: GLP-1 medications significantly reduce hunger, which can require dietary adjustments.

This is how easy it is to inject the medication:

I asked Tami if she experiences these challenges after taking compounded tirzepatide, and here’s what she had to say:

“I’m very good with discipline and sticking to a schedule, so consistency wasn’t a huge deal for me, but I can see how it could be difficult for others. Managing side effects was challenging, but the biggest challenge for me was making sure I ate enough food because once you take the medication, it literally turns off the ‘food noise’… like I didn’t even think about food for hours.”

The next question I had for Remedy Meds was how do you help patients with these challenges? Here’s what they said, and how RemedyMeds helps:

  • Medical guidance: Patients receive ongoing support from licensed clinicians to manage side effects and optimize dosage.
  • Flexible dose adjustments: If a patient experiences significant discomfort, clinicians can modify their prescription to ensure optimal tolerance and effectiveness. Additionally, our clinicians customize compounded medications by incorporating complementary active ingredients tailored to patient goals, helping to enhance efficacy and mitigate specific side effects.
  • Expertise: Our clinicians have serviced over 60,000 Remedy Meds patients so they are attuned to modifying programs for patient needs.

Having systems in place is nice and all, but do people actually lose weight?

Weight Loss Results With Remedy Meds

Let’s talk about what everyone really wants to know - how much weight can you actually lose with Remedy Meds?

Now, keep in mind that results can vary from person to person, and can vary based on actually sticking to the program and the patient’s starting weight.

However, I did ask their team if we could get self-reported data from Remedy Meds patients, and they delivered.

So, I already mentioned that they have serviced over 60,000 patients already. Again - huge sample size.

And I love how realistic these numbers are. They aren’t your beefed up marketing numbers that we all read and call BS on.

Here’s what their team told me, based on self-reported data from patients using Remedy Meds (see the cards below):

After 30 Days:

  • Over 80% of patients lose weight
  • with men losing an average of 7.55 lbs.
  • and women losing 6.14 lbs.

Disclaimer: Based on self-reported data from approximately 15,011 Remedy Meds customers on a personalized treatment plan, including compounded GLP-1 medications and consultations with medical professionals. Customers reported their weight on their initial medical intake questionnaire and every 3-4 weeks thereafter.

After 60 Days:

  • The average weight loss is 10.78 lbs.
  • with some patients reporting losses of 14+ lbs.

Disclaimer: Based on self-reported data from approximately 7,943 Remedy Meds customers on a personalized treatment plan, including compounded GLP-1 medications and consultations with medical professionals. Customers reported their weight on their initial medical intake questionnaire and every 3-4 weeks thereafter.

After 90 Days:

  • The average weight loss is 15.07 lbs.
  • with some losing 19+ lbs.

Disclaimer: Based on self-reported data from approximately 3,583 Remedy Meds customers on a personalized treatment plan, including compounded GLP-1 medications and consultations with medical professionals. Customers reported their weight on their initial medical intake questionnaire and every 3-4 weeks thereafter.

After 120 Days (4 months):

  • Patients lose an average of 17.96 lbs
  • with some reaching 24+ lbs.

Disclaimer: Based on self-reported data from approximately 1,279 Remedy Meds customers on a personalized treatment plan, including compounded GLP-1 medications and consultations with medical professionals. Customers reported their weight on their initial medical intake questionnaire and every 3-4 weeks thereafter.

After 150 Days (5 months):

  • The average weight loss is 21 lbs.
  • with some losing 27+ lbs.

Disclaimer: Based on self-reported data from approximately 259 Remedy Meds customers on a personalized treatment plan, including compounded GLP-1 medications and consultations with medical professionals. Customers reported their weight on their initial medical intake questionnaire and every 3-4 weeks thereafter.

Here are some before and after pictures that the team sent me:

So how much does this cost? Surprisingly, they’re one of the better priced GLP-1 providers out there.

Pricing, What You Get, and Their Weight Loss Guarantee

The one thing I really don’t like about most providers, is they market their pricing based on a yearly commitment. The reality is that all of these GLP-1 providers offer multiple tiered pricing options, including (but not limited to) monthly (usually the highest price), 6-month, and 1 year.

The Remedy Meds weight loss program costs $299 per month for compounded semaglutide and $399 per month for compounded tirzepatide.

What you get: When you pay for your medication, it includes the 4 weeks of medication, shipping, physician evaluations, follow-ups, unlimited access to clinicians, and any required blood work.

What’s nice about Remedy Meds (and I have seen other brands start to do this more often) is they offer a money-back guarantee.

It states on the website that if you don’t lose 10% of your bodyweight in four months, you get your money back.

But as a savvy consumer, I’m always skeptical about money-back guarantees, so I decided to ask the RemedyMeds team about it, here’s what they said:

“RemedyMeds offers a 10% weight-loss guarantee after four months. If patients do not lose at least 10% of their starting weight after taking the medication as prescribed for 16 consecutive weeks, they are eligible for a refund of their membership fees for the first four months. Just so you know, the guarantee does not apply to patients who have previously taken GLP-1s in the past 12 months.”

Last, but certainly not least, Remedy Meds pricing guidelines on increased dosages are outstanding - the price never goes up, even if you increase your dose.

I mentioned this before, but I feel like it’s worth mentioning again - this is a really good perk because not all the GLP-1 providers do this.

We just covered pricing, but now I wanted to know if the compounded GLP-1 medications offered by Remedy Meds goes through quality and safety testing procedures.

How RemedyMeds Ensures the Quality and Safety of Compounded GLP-1s

While I have done plenty of research on how these compounding pharmacies work, I was still curious about how RemedyMeds’ process worked. Do they test? Does the pharmacy test? And who’s testing?

Again, I turned to the RemedyMeds team, here’s how they explained it to me:

“RemedyMeds partners with highly regulated, US-based compounding pharmacies that adhere to strict state pharmacy board regulations.”

In simple terms, this means that the pharmacies RemedyMeds partners with are legit.

The team also reported the following on how the pharmacies go about business:

  • Regulatory oversight: While compounded medications are not FDA-approved for safety, quality, or efficacy, the facilities producing them are subject to regulatory standards.
  • Ingredient transparency: The compounded GLP-1 medications contain the same active ingredients as FDA-approved Ozempic® (semaglutide) and Mounjaro® (tirzepatide).
  • Testing protocols: All compounded medications undergo quality control and sterility testing to ensure safety.

What I’m getting out of this is that it’s very transparent. You know exactly the type of medication you’re getting, how they make it and the strict guidelines they have to follow.

So who can actually qualify for GLP-1s? I know from covering many GLP-1 providers that each brand is different with their qualifications. So, I turned to the Remedy Meds team to get this answered.

What’s The Deal With Eligibility and/or Ineligibility?

A lot to unwrap here about who qualifies and who doesn’t. And again, this is for RemedyMeds. Keep in mind that this could be different for other providers.

To be eligible for Remedy Meds, you must meet the following criteria:

Minimum age requirement is 18 years old

A BMI of 27+ with a weight-related condition (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)

Or, you would be eligible with a 30+ BMI without the weight-related condition.

But that’s not all, according to the Remedy Meds team, “People can be disqualified for the following:

  • A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).
  • Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
  • A history of pancreatitis.
  • Severe kidney disease or gastroparesis.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

All patients undergo a medical questionnaire review before receiving a prescription.”

It’s a good thing that they are at least a little strict on who qualifies for medications as it protects consumers if they fall under the disqualification list.

Now that we know if we could be eligible, there’s one last piece of information I wanted to gather - and that’s the patient portal. It’s something that many potential customers have no idea about until they actually sign up. So, let’s briefly cover it, that way you know what to expect.

Another Perk For Remedy Meds Customers: The Patient Portal

After you sign up for a medication plan and the clinicians approve your medication, you’ll get a login username and password to gain access into the Patient Portal.

Inside the patient portal is where you’ll communicate to your clinicians, which they provide unlimited access to. Basically that means if you have questions about the medication, or want to talk about how to manage your side effects, or any question related to your experience, the Remedy Meds clinicians are there to help.

remedy meds patient portal

Most brands will have their clinicians check in with you once per month, but they may not offer unlimited access to them.

Everything is HIPPA compliant, which just means your medical information and everything you say is protected for privacy.

Here’s what the team told me about the Patient Portal at Remedy Meds:

"Unlimited live access to our support team"

Remedy Meds Team

  • Patients use our Patient Portal and secure video platform to communicate with clinicians.
  • Patients get unlimited live access and ongoing access to our support team.
  • Clinicians review patient progress every three to four weeks and adjust prescriptions as needed.

The one thing that stuck out with me when I researched RemedyMeds (and I think you’ll find this too) is that the majority of customers praise their customer support. I’m sure this has a lot to do with the unlimited access inside the Patient Portal. For reference, I read many of these types of testimonials on the RemedyMeds trustpilot page, which houses over 1,480 reviews.

Conclusion: Is Remedy Meds the Best GLP-1 Provider Right Now?

Considering everything we covered for this review of RemedyMeds, including the transparent pricing, built-in customer care systems, solutions for drug shortages, eligibility vs ineligibility, plus the prompt response that I got from asking 10 questions, it’s safe to say that RemedyMeds is one of the best GLP-1 providers right now.

They check all the boxes, and again, most brands never reply to my questions. A few do, but none have gone above and beyond providing detailed answers. It shows that they care and it proves that they are real humans trying to help us consumers, instead of just taking their money.

Here’s a quick recap of the boxes they check:

  • Flat-rate pricing (no hidden fees, even if you increase your dose)
  • Unlimited clinician access (rare among GLP-1 providers)
  • No waitlists, fast delivery, and solutions for drug shortages
  • A solid track record with 60,000+ patients and 1,400+ positive reviews
  • Money-back guarantee if you don’t lose 10% of your body weight in four months

No provider or company is perfect, but when you compare RemedyMeds to the thousands of other GLP-1 providers flooding the market, they stand out with the quick recap points above.

If you’re serious about losing weight with GLP-1s, Remedy Meds is legitimately one of the best options available right now.

Would I recommend their services? If you meet the eligibility criteria and want a hassle-free, transparent GLP-1 provider - absolutely.

Now the real question is, are you ready to take the next step?

If you’re in the RemedyMeds program, comment below and let us know your experience - we’d love to hear from you!
