My Experience With Space Chews Delta 9 THC Gummies
Now, let's get on to my personal experience with Space Chews!
Ordering from Cheech & Chong’s website was a breeze. They shipped it in a discreet package, which arrived in 3 business days. I was eager to finally open the box and try the Space Chews!
That evening, around 7 PM, which is my usual wind-down time, I took my first Space Chews Sour Grape gummy. The gummies themselves are cubed and a vibrant purple, plus the smell is mouth-watering!
The gummy has a soft, chewy texture with an initial burst of sweet grape, followed by a slight hint of tartness, which was amazing.
I settled onto the couch with my family as the kids watched a TV show, ready to relax and enjoy the experience.
Initial Effects
Roughly 30 minutes later, a gentle warmth consumed my body, easing the tension in my muscles and leaving me feeling deeply relaxed. All of my thoughts began to slow down and I felt a sense of calm settle over me. I was truly in the present moment, enjoying every second and appreciating the comfortable time relaxing on the couch with my family.
Progression of Effects
The initial wave of relaxation intensified over the next hour and a half. The gentle warmth in my body became more pronounced, and I felt a deeper sense of calm. All of my thoughts almost disappeared, continuing to slow down, and I found it a heck of a lot easier to simply relax and enjoy the present moment.
My kids were watching a TV show called Henry Danger, and as corny as that show is, I found myself laughing out loud at jokes I normally wouldn’t find as funny. It was as if my sense of humor had been amplified, and I was finding amusement in even the simplest gags.
Duration of Effects
I would say the peak effects come around the 90-minute mark. That’s when I felt the most relaxed and enjoying the moment. The effects then lasted for another hour after that for a total duration of roughly two and a half hours. That’s a good night!
Fading of Effects
After about two and a half hours, I noticed the effects began to gradually subside. The deep relaxation began fading, and my thoughts returned to a normal state. The one thing I appreciated was there wasn’t a sudden drop-off or any unpleasant “come-down” feeling.
Negative Effects
Personally, I experienced two minor side effects. First, I had a mild dry mouth throughout the experience. This is very typical for me when consuming edibles. However, it’s easily managed with water. Second, I noticed some subtle grogginess the following morning, which lasted for about 30 minutes. While this is not nearly as intense as an alcohol hangover, I felt it was worth mentioning.

After trying Tommy Chong’s Cruise Chews before, I was really interested in seeing how Space Chews compared. Here’s what I found:
Effects: The Cruise Chews are nothing to balk at. They provided a more subtle and mellow relaxation, while Space Chews gave me a more pronounced sense of calm and a slightly more uplifting mood.
Come-Down: Space Chews was noticeably smoother, with zero lingering grogginess beyond the initial 30 minutes the next morning, unlike Cruise Chews, which sometimes made me feel a little sluggish.
Flavor: Cruise Chews are an assortment of fruity gummies and they taste great, but I prefer the Sour Grape flavor of the Space Chews.
Price: Cruise Chews is $10 cheaper than Space Chews. However, I feel like the extra $10 is worth it for me because the effects were better with Space Chews.
Overall, if you’re looking for a stronger, more pronounced relaxation with a smoother come-down, then Space Chews are the better choice. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a more subtle experience and you want to save $10, then Cruise Chews are more your speed.
Final Thoughts
Overall, my experience with Cheech & Chong’s Space Chews has been extremely positive. I love how enjoyable the Sour Grape flavor is and it makes me curious about the Watermelon Lemonade flavor.
The effects were so relaxing and pleasant, and the come-down was smooth. The 10mg dosage proved to be perfect for a relaxing evening at home.
As for the price point for a one-time purchase, you’re looking at $2.30 per gummy. It’s a competitive price compared to other similar 10mg THC gummies. Plus, Cheech & Chong’s manufactures them in a FDA-registered facility and performs third-party testing, adding to the value and quality of the product.
While the mild dry mouth and slight next morning grogginess are worth noting, they were easily manageable and they didn’t detract from the overall experience.

Rating Space Chews
I gave Space Chews 4.6 stars because the effects were awesome and the come-down was smooth, but the mild dry mouth and next-day grogginess prevented me from giving them a perfect score.

Relaxation, calmness, and even some creativity allowed me to score effectiveness a 5/5.
Side Effects
Minor negative effects like dry mouth and next-day grogginess, but they're manageable and it didn't detract from my overall experience.
Value
The one-time purchase price is a little steep, but it's totally worth it. I would say it's much more valuable if you buy them in bulk.
Flavor and Quality
The Sour Grape flavor is sweet with a hint of tartness (very yummy), the texture is chewy, but it doesn't stick to your teeth, and the overall quality of the product is outstanding.
