Living in Florida, hydration is an absolute must, especially in the summer. I have been using hydration mixes for a few years now to help me re-hydrate and make sure I’m getting the electrolytes and minerals I need to feel and perform my best. I have a couple of go-to brands that I typically use, but I’m always open to trying others, so when Ultima Replenisher offered to send me a sample pack, I was happy to say yes.
Now, I’m sharing my thoughts and feedback on their hydration mixes in case this brand popped up in your feed and you’re considering trying it for yourself. Although Ultima sent me the sample packs for free, this isn’t a sponsored review, so you can rest assured that I’m sharing my honest thoughts (good and bad).
My Experience With Ultima Replenisher
I received the Ultimate Variety Pack to try, which includes 9 different flavors of electrolyte mixes. My first impression was that they have an amazing variety of flavors. Not only does their variety pack contain 9 different flavors, but they have tons more on their website to choose from. I felt like the variety pack was a nice place to start because otherwise, I might get analysis paralysis and not be able to decide which flavor to go with.

The variety pack I received contained individual stick packs of the mix, which I find to be insanely convenient. With the little single-serve stick packs, you just tear the top off and dump the mix into your water. These are perfect for taking on the go and mixing into a plastic water bottle with a small opening at the top. If you’ve ever tried adding a scoop of powder to a plastic water bottle, you know the struggle.

Ultima also offers its mixes in large containers with a scoop. I like this, too, because it’s a more budget-friendly option, but the stick packs are honestly just so much more convenient and easy to stick with. I usually like to add some electrolytes to my regular water jug at some point during the day (either during/after my Simply Strong App workout or after my outdoor walk), and both the individual packs and the tub of mix work great for that.

Each serving of Ultima Replenisher contains 6 electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, and chloride). There are zero calories and zero sugar; they are sweetened with organic stevia leaf extract. These mixes are great for those who are watching their calorie intake and don’t want to add unnecessary liquid calories to their day. Taste-wise, Ultima Replenisher is actually really good - honestly, better than I expected. The flavors are very bold and fruity, making it hard to believe there’s no sugar in them.
Ultima Replenisher is not salty at all, which can be good or bad. Personally, I like my hydration mixes to have a bit of a salty taste to them because it makes me feel like I’m replacing all of the sodium I lost from sweating, but I know a lot of people don’t like their electrolytes to taste salty. If that’s you, you’ll love Ultima Replenisher. There is sodium in their mixes, but they keep it really minimal so as not to overdo it. If you’re someone who eats a diet high in sodium, you probably don’t need a lot anyway.
My favorite flavor thus far is cherry pomegranate, but I honestly haven’t had any flavors yet that I don’t like. They have a bunch of “mocktail” options, too, which I think is really cute and fun. As someone who drinks alcohol very rarely these days, having fun non-alcoholic options, especially ones that re-hydrate me, is awesome. I noticed that Ultima also has some special formulas like their “Crave Killer” that claims to help reduce cravings - I would not advise buying that formula with the hopes of actually reducing your appetite (in my experience, these things are usually just gimmicks). But if you’re looking for a reliable electrolyte replacement mix, I am definitely a fan of Ultima’s hydration options.
Ultima also offers a great price on its products, with a 20-pack of single-serve stickpacks being just $20.99 and a 30-serving container (with a scoop) also being $20.99. Obviously, the most cost-effective and environmentally effective option is to go with the tub, but I also like to have the stick packs handy for on-the-go hydration. You can also opt for their subscribe and save option and get a discount, making these hydration mixes even more affordable, and you’ll get them delivered to your door every month until you cancel.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I think Ultima has a good hydration product; it’s not intense in the slightest, so if you’re someone who worries about overdosing on too much sodium, this would be a great option for you, as the stated amounts of each of the 6 electrolytes, particularly sodium, aren’t that high. That being said, I didn’t find any information on third-party testing for Ultima Replenisher, so I can’t say with full confidence that the information on the ingredients label is 100% accurate. But what I can tell you is that these mixes are not salty at all, which tells me that there isn’t a ton of sodium in them.
Compared with many of the other electrolyte mixes on the market, Ultima is priced very competitively, making it an easy yes for those who don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on hydration mixes. Ultima also has a giant selection of fun flavors to choose from, keeping things refreshing and enjoyable.
If you try Ultima, be sure to let me know what you think! I’m definitely a fan and am excited to have them as an option for extra electrolytes.
